Terry J. Morvant, Sr.

Terry J. Morvant, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at the age of 65. Beloved and loving husband of Delores Morvant for 40 years. Son of the late Joseph Dewey Morvant and Leonore Morvant. Devoted father of Terry J. Morvant, Jr. (Tiffany), Amanda Williams and Joseph D. Morvant (Alyssa). Loving Grandfather of Talan J. Morvant, Allie A. Morvant and Russell J. Morvant. Brother of the late Robert Estopinal, Gerald Estopinal and Janice Leto. Terry is also survived by his Godchild, Gerrilynn Estopinal. Terry was a man whose heart belonged to the open waters and the hum of an engine. From a young age, he found solace in the rhythmic cast of a fishing line, the anticipation of a bite and the peacefulness of early mornings by the lake. Fishing wasn’t just a hobby for Terry, it was a way of life. He could spend hours on end patiently waiting for that perfect catch, and the stories he would tell about his adventures were as captivating as the spot itself. But Terry’s love didn’t stop at the water’s edge, he had a passion for working on cars that was just as profound. The garage was his sanctuary, a place where he could lose himself in the intricate dance of gears and pistons. Whether it was restoring a vintage model or fine-tuning a modern engine, Terry’s hands brought machines to life. His eyes would light up with every successful repair, and the roar of a well-tuned engine was music to his ears. Terry’s legacy lives on in the memories of those quiet fishing trips and the countless hours spent under the hood of a car. His friends and family remember him not just for his skills, but for the joy he found in sharing his passions with others. To this day, whenever a line is cast or an engine revs, those who knew him best can feel his spirit nearby, guiding them with the same patience and enthusiasm he always had. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 10:30AM until 1:30PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1:30PM. Interment will be in McDonoughville Cemetery, Gretna, Louisiana.
