Thelma Plaisance Patin Muller, our sweet earth angel surrounded by her loving family ended her journey to start another with her Maker on January 1, 2012 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Charles G. Muller and Milton J. Patin. Survived by her children, Linda (Albert) Poche, Katherine Meynard, Janet (Michael) Roth, Charles Mel Muller and Charlene (Donald) Florentino. Loving grandmother of Terence Poche, Danielle Mancuso, Jeremy Meynard, Gregory and Jared Roth, Brandon and Cody Muller and the late Cory Muller and Jason Meynard. Also survived by twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Daughter of the late Whitney and Annie Frickey Plaisance. Survived by her sister, Nora Dufrene Davis and brother, Whitney Plaisance, Jr. and the late Shirley Plaisance. A lifelong resident of Westwego, Thelma was actively involved in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church and Legion of Mary, Westwego Historic Society, Marrero Chateau Dames, Queen Bees, Ou-Ya-Ya and other groups with loving friends. She was a great seamstress and enjoyed sewing with friends for charity. She was a loving and caring person who touched many lives and will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday at the funeral home from 8AM until 10:30AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, Avenue A and 4th Street, Westwego, LA on Thursday at 11AM. Interment will be in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery, Westwego, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children’s Hospital, Henry Clay Avenue, New Orleans, LA in memory of Thelma. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of River Region Hospice, especially Sherie Wilson for the love and care given to Thelma during her illness.
