Thelma Ruehrmund Secrest

Thelma Mae Ruehrmund Secrest passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014 at the age of 100. Beloved wife of the late Herbert Crow Secrest. Mother of Lenora S. Hixon (Eugene) and Linda S. Foster (Joseph). Daughter of the late Marie Darling Scott Ruehrmund and Albert Ferdinand Ruehrmund. Grannie of Linda H. Leonard (Stephen) and Eilene H. Verret (David). Gran Gran of Nick and Kaitlin Leonard and Jake and Camden Verret. A native of Columbus, Ohio and a resident of Algiers, LA for the past 60 years. Thelma was a Graduate of Ohio State University, an Elementary Teacher, an accomplished Violinist and a full time homemaker. A burial will take place in Sarasota Memorial Park Cemetery, Florida at a later date. The family would like to thank the Staff and Caregivers of Woldenberg Village for their loving care.
