Born: Feb. 5, 1931 - Died May 1, 2016
Born in White Castle, LA later moved to Harvey, LA. Married the late Roland “Champ” Champagne on Oct. 28, 1950. Moved to Lafayette, La and then returned to Harvey, LA in 1990. After Champ’s death she moved to Shreveport, LA. She is survived by her son Roland “R.J.” Champagne, Jr. and wife Theresa; grandson Lance Champagne and wife Lynne; granddaughter Kara Melancon and husband Bobby; grandchildren Adeline “Addy” Champagne, Landon Champagne, Marcie Melancon and Allie Melancon all of Bossier City, LA.; brother A.J. Rodriguez of Plaquemine, LA and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by: Parents Alger P. and Helen Martinez Rodriguez; husband of 52 years Roland Champagne, Sr. and brothers and sisters: Hazel Mashburn, Annie Boudreaux, Emma Falcon, Adilene Wunstel, Davis Rodriguez, Royal Rodriguez, Lilly Rodriguez, Henry Rodriguez, Helen Leblanc, Louis Rodriguez, Hubert Rodriguez, Margie Montet and Gerald Rodriguez. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 6-10 pm and in the Mothe Funeral Home Chapel on Friday May 6, 2016 from 8-9 am followed by a funeral Mass. Interment will be at Restlawn Park Cemetery in Avondale, LA.
