Theresa Jones Thompson

Theresa Agnes Jones Thompson, born October 17, 1910, entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 8, 2016 at the beautiful age of 105. Theresa was the daughter of the late Antonia Landry Jones and the late Harvey H. Jones. She was the sister of the late Harvey T. Jones, Sr. and sister-in-law of the late Laura Landry Jones. She was the aunt of Harvey T. Jones, Jr. (Paula), residents of Hereford, Arizona, and the late Donald T. Jones (JoAnn Hildebrand Jones) and great aunt of Jan Jones Terhune, residents of Washington, Louisiana. She lived most of her life in Algiers, retiring in 1967 from her service to the U.S. Corps of Engineers and U.S. Customs in New Orleans. Theresa was a devoted Parishioner of Holy Name of Mary Church, a diligent member of the Third Order of Mary and The Catholic Daughters of America, Court No. 2165. She was also affiliated with the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Chapter 41. In 2006, she became a resident at St. Joseph Manor in Thibodaux, Louisiana and in 2014 took residence at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Nursing Facility, administered by the Marianites of Holy Cross. Relatives and friends of the family, also parishioners of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, Third Order of Mary members, and retired Federal Employees are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 11am.
