Thomas “Butch” Abadie, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at the age of 68. Beloved husband of 51 years to Edwina Bourg Abadie. Son of the late Robert and Nora Abadie. Father of Becki A. Vincent (Husband the late Arby), Thomas J. Abadie, Jr. (Wife Sandra), Troy S. Abadie (Fiance’ Christine), Irene B. Folse (Husband Rick) and Helmuth “PePe” Samayoa (Wife Gladys). Grandfather of Wade Rivero, Mysti Abadie, Christian Vincent, Christopher Vincent, Grady Thomas, Kayla English, Ricki Vincent, Sr., Johnny Goheen, Jr., Brittany Bourg, Troy Moore, Christopher Samayoa and Paul Samayoa. Great Grandfather of Tamyiah, Micah, Adian, Jaiden, Collin, Dylan and Ricki Vincent, Jr. Brother of Clifton Abadie, Gerald Matherne, Robert Abadie, Jr. and the late Mary Jane Abadie. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and many dear and loving friends. Butch was a lifelong resident of Westwego, LA. He was a member of the Westwego Civic Association and American Pool League Association (APA). Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Sunday, August 7, 2011 from 6PM until 11PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Monday from 9AM until 1PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 1PM.
