Thomas "Tj" James Hughes, Jr.

Thomas “T.J. “ James Hughes Jr, Age 21, entered into eternal rest on April 16, 2014. He was born June 2, 1992 in Marrero, LA to Thomas “Pete” James Hughes, Sr. and the former Pamela Guidry, both of New Orleans, LA. He was preceded in death by his Paternal grandfather Floyd Hughes, Sr,; his Maternal grandfather James Malcolm Guidry; Uncles Stevie Hughes, Anthony Hughes, Dennis “ Big D” Guidry Sr.; Aunts, Maria Hughes and Charlotte Guidry. He is survived by his Parents, Thomas “Pete” James Hughes, Sr. and Pamela Hughes; his Paternal grandmother, Ethel Hughes; his Maternal grandmother, Elaine Guidry; his Uncles Floyd Hughes, Glen “Mouse” Hughes, Kenneth Hughes, Jason Hughes, Neal Guidry; his Aunts, Patricia Ingraffia Talbot, Judy Decareaux, as well as numerous cousins and friends. A Lifelong resident of Marrero, LA; he attended Archbishop Shaw High School and was employed by Crescent Towing and Salvage. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. He also loved and was loved by his family and friends. He was a loving soul who was always able to bring a smile to anyone no matter the circumstance. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. T.J. will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A visitation will be at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 6PM until 11PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 8AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11AM. Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
