Thomas Joseph Pennison Sr., 69, passed peacefully on January 31, 2016. He came into this world on September 9, 1946, in New Orleans, LA to the late Earl J. Pennison and Melanie Gallagher Pennison. Tom graduated from Jesuit High School in 1964 and worked as an accountant and mechanic during his professional career. He had a passion for music, which started as a child playing the saxophone, and continued into his adulthood where he had his own band and most recently played and sang in his church choir. He was a past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council 6369 and, with his wife Catherine, Tom received the Order of St. Louis IX Medallion in 1998. Tom was married to the late Catherine Link Pennison for 48 years and is survived by his children Thomas J. Pennison Jr. (Karyn Shultz Pennison) and Melanie C. Pennison and grandson Andrew T. Pennison. He is also survived by his two siblings, Earl J. Pennison and Marleen A. Pennison, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 6 PM until 10 PM.
