Timothy Michael Durgin, also known as “Bicycle Timmy”, who loved riding his bicycle and an avid Saints Fan and outdoorsman entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the age of 33. Beloved and loving son of Alvin Durgin, III and Catherine Durgin. Brother of Steven Durgin (Wife Zoe). Uncle of Julia Durgin. Grandson of Dora E. Durgin and the late Capt. Alvin Durgin, Jr., Flora Arnst and James Budwey. Step Grandson of the late Edward Arnst. Godson of Gwendolyn Davis and the late James Janson. He was a pure delight young man who absolutely had a big compassionate heart and for that, he will be missed by all. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the members and staff of St. Michael’s Special School in New Orleans for their love and care given to Timothy. The family is also asking in lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to St. Michael’s Special School in memory of Timothy. In his earlier years, he worked at Delchamps, Albertson’s and Walmart stores. He was a hard worker at the stores and for that he gained the utmost love and respect not only from the customers, but from his co-workers as well. He was a Patron of Murphy’s Bar located on Gretna Blvd. in Gretna, LA. Relatives and friends and all of Timothy’s friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 9AM until 1PM.
