Ret. Capt. Tom L. Boales. Sr. passed away at his home Friday, September
19, 2014 at the age of 88. He was born in Paris, Tennessee but lived the
majority of his life in Algiers, Louisiana. He served with the Merchant
Marines for 41 years. Beloved husband of the late Lula Mae Jarrell Boales for 68 years who preceded him in death on August 9, 2011. Son of the late James H. Boales
and the late Rubie Lee Thompson Boales. Father of Karen Boales, Tom L.
Boales, Jr. (Brenda), and Linda Schreiber. Grandfather of Christine
Soemer-Romo, James H. Houtman, Jr., Tanner and Tom J. Boales. Great
Grandfather of Christi Soemer-Trauth, Breanna Romo, Noah and Jonah
Houtman. Relatives and Friends of the family are invited to attend a Graveside
Service at 1pm on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Westlawn Cemeteries, 1225 Whitney Ave, Gretna, LA. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the Michael J.
