Tony "Capt. Tony" J. Barousse

Tony Joseph "Capt. T" Barousse, 61 years old, passed away on Monday, July 24th, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born in Avondale, La. on February 27th, 1962. Son of the late Jules Barousse (Jackie Barousse) and the late Iris Fedele (Henry Fedele). He is survived by his wife, Penny Barousse, son, Anthony Barousse (Lindsay Barousse), daughter, Alissa Barousse and his stepdaughters, Samantha Dufrene (Irving Dufrene) and Jolie Orgeron (Layla Orgeron). He is survived by his step-siblings Lorraine Slezak, Carl Guichard and Jeffrey Guichard. He is survived by his first spouse, Valarie Alello and godchild, Skylar Turner. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Cambree Barousse and Brinlee Barousse and step-grandchildren, Avah , Tj, Kae’Lanna, Lilly, and Paisleigh.

Tony served the United States Army. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Tony enjoyed working for Southeastern Freightlines as a truck driver.

Family and friends are welcome to the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 10AM until 1PM.  A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1PM.  Interment will be held privately at a later date. Family and friends may offer condolences at mothefunerals.com.
