Trudy Legnon Nihart Roderick entered into eternal rest on August 12, 2016. She was born on January 13, 1950, in Belle Chasse, LA, where she resided until moving to Newport, Rhode Island in 1969, to later return home to Belle Chasse, LA in May 2015. Trudy was preceded in death by her parents Leroy and Eva Legnon, her brothers Sidney Legnon, II and Leroy Legnon, Jr., her sister Claudia Legnon, and her loving and devoted husband of 42 years Donald F. Roderick. She is survived by her daughter Teri-Lee Nihart Robinson; grandson Ethan Robinson; sister Mary Fay Legnon; niece/goddaughter Tara Boudreaux Ordoyne (Bill); nephew Rickey P. Boudreaux II; great nephew Chance Passmore; and great niece Brooke Buckman. Trudy enjoyed making crafts, bowling, eating crawfish and spending time with friends and family. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a funeral service in her honor on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, INC, located at 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA. Visitation will be from 9:00a.m. until 11:00a.m. Funeral mass will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Hook & Ladder Cemetery in Gretna, LA.
