Tuyen Trung Le, also known as Hung Lee, passed away at his daughter’s home surrounded by his family in Belle Chasse LA on Thursday , May 23, 2024, at the age of 70.
Born May 15, 1954, in Long An Vietnam to Le Quoi Mai & La Thi Lien, Hung came to the United States in 1981 and was a longtime resident of Marrero LA before moving to Gretna LA.
He is survived by a sister: Le Kim Huong; a brother: Le Trung Quan; a son: Anthony Le (Julia Wu); two daughters: Thuy Linh Le (Minh Khanh Tran), Kitana “Kristina” Le (Josh O’quin); previous wives, Trong Nguyen, Thanhvan Leho; and twelve grandchildren, Kaleb Khoa Vu, Kassidy Kieu Van Vu, Kolsten Koi Vu, Cindy Tran, Amy Tran, Cody Tran, Kylo Xy Le, Chiara Poppmeier, Maxwell Poppmeier, Lily Webber, Jade Webber, Noah Webber; along with three nonbiological children that he kindly raised, Bobbie Le Poppmeier, Jeanne (Nguyen) Webber, and Nam Nguyen.
Hung Lee was a dedicated business owner of Lee’s Body Shop, Lee’s Auto Sales and Lee’s Collision . He loved his job and always made sure to “take care of his customers.” Mr Lee continued to work even after illness prevented him from walking.
Hung courageously served in the South Vietnamese 2A/73 Thu Duc forces during the Vietnamese-American War and proudly gathered with veteran friends to celebrate their service and camaraderie.
Hung leaves behind many friends and family who loved and will miss him dearly. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be remembered joyously laughing, singing, and dancing, while surrounded by friends with cognac in hand. Your glass would never go empty in his presence.
