Tyler C. Bourgeois

Tyler C. Bourgeois, a lifelong resident of Avondale, LA, passed away on January 24, 2014 at the age of 21 years. Beloved son of Vicky Chen and Shane Bourgeois. Step-son of Gus Chen and Sherrie Williams. Step-brother of Natasha Valls, Alton Chen, Amelia Miley and Nicholas Chen. Grandson of Ruby Bourgeois, the late Eddie Bourgeois, Ivy and Eloise Moreau. Step-grandson of Fermin “Ayeh” Chen. Also survived by 8 nieces and nephews and many loving relatives and friends.
Tyler attended Archbishop Shaw High School and graduated from L.W. Higgins High School, Class of 2011. He later worked as a machinist for Superior Energy. Tyler was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish and spend time with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass to be celebrated in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 11 AM. Interment Our Lady of the Angels Mausoleum in Waggaman. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 6 PM to 10 PM, resuming on Thursday from 8 AM to 11 AM.
