Ulysse J. Toups, Sr.

Ulysse J. Toups passed away on August 21, 2013 at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of 62 years to Edwina Bouvier Toups. Father of Debbie Hebert (husband Ronnie) and Ulysse J. “Bootsie” Toups, Jr. (wife Cindy). Grandfather of Monica Hebert, Ron Hebert (wife Tiffany) and Colby Toups. Great-grandfather of Landry Hebert. Brother of Irby and Hubert Toups, Gladys Savoie, the late Carmen Cheramie and Lester Toups. Son of the late Hector and Anastasia Gaudet Toups. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Ulysse served his country in the U.S. Army. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing with his son Bootsie. He also enjoyed spending time in Grand Isle and was a fan of L.S.U.
Relatives, friends and employees of I.W.S. Gas and Supply, Jefferson Parish School Board and the former Celotex Corp. are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA on Monday, August 26, 2013 from 9 AM to 11 AM.
