Ursula Byrd

Ursula A. Byrd passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the age of 70. Beloved daughter of Ursula D. Hornemann and the late Friedhelm Wiese. Step daughter of the late Rudolph Hornemann. Mother of Kerstin Shinn, Michael Shinn, Larry Shinn, Elizabeth Mitchell (Husband Brett) and Amber Byrd (Fiancé Christopher Trussell). Grandmother of Ian Byrd, Michael Dion, Kristen Byrd, Bretlynn Mitchell and T risten Trussell. Ursula was a member of God’s House Westbank Cathedral, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Harvey Senior Center. She was born in Bad Dingenen, Germany and was a resident of Marrero, Louisiana for the past 23 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 9AM until 1PM. A Celebration of her Life will take place at the funeral home on Saturday at 1PM. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum (Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery), Westwego, LA.
