Vanessa Chauvin Rodriguez passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at the age of 69. Loving wife of Marcell Rodriguez of 53 years. Mother of Christian Rodriguez and daughter in law Natie Rodriguez. Mimi of grandson Chance Rodriguez. Bonus Mimi of step-grandchildren Victoria and Miguel Wilches. Daughter of the late Earlis and Dorothy Chauvin. Daughter in law of the late Ellen and Russell Rodriguez Sr. Sister-in-law of Danielle Rodriguez, Judith and Russell Rodriguez Jr, the late Patti DeNicola, and the late Allen Rodriguez. Sister of Veronica Cantrelle, Yvonne Prestenbach, Denise Shaffer. Her best friends were Omalee Gordon and Cheryl Dufrene. Special thank you to her care team especially Melinda Harlow. Lifelong resident of Marrero and Lafitte, LA. Vanessa lived her life with patience, devotion, and unconditional love for her family. Vanessa was a coffee lover, avid reader, library enthusiast, loved history and late in life a fan of Audible book. Vanessa’s life was truly lived for her family and their love for her cannot be measured.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a memorial gathering at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 9AM until 1PM. Prayer services at 1PM. Interment will be private at a later date.
