Vernell F. Callegan

Vernell F. Callegan passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the age of 89 years. Beloved wife of the late Hylas C. Baudean, Sr. Mother of the late Gerald J. Callegan, Jr. Step-mother of Joey M. Baudean (Kathy) and Jacqueline B. Watson (the late Lawrence), and the late Hylas C. Baudean (Loretta). Sister of the late Celestine Rigaud and Edward LaBorde, Jr. Grandmother of Jaclyn C. Caside (L.C.) and the late Jared M. Callegan and several step-grandchildren. Great Grandmother of Syriana and Sage Caside and several step-great grandchildren. Also survived by a host of nieces, great nieces, great-great nieces, one great-nephew and many cousins. She was a lifelong resident of Gretna, LA. Relatives and friends of the family also members of Bellsouth Telephone Pioneers of America are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 1pm.
