Vernon Lee Ellis Sr.

Vernon L. Ellis, Sr., a native of Crawford, MS and a resident of Lumberton, MS, died Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Barbara Simon Ellis. Beloved son of the late William L. Ellis, Jr. and Sallie Stephens Ellis. Brother of Minnie Ledet, Florence Greene, Gene Ellis and the late James W. Ellis. Father of Phyllis Buckley (Johnny), Vernon L. Ellis, Jr., Van Michael Ellis (Mary) and John P. Ellis (Adelle). Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 1PM. Interment, Restlawn Cemetery, Avondale, LA. Parlors will be open Monday from 9 AM until 1 PM.
