Vincent Kazmierz Litwinowicz

Vincent K. Litwinowicz passed away on November 10, 2015 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Donna Litwinowicz. Father of Joan Semmes (Gilmore), John (Jane), Mike (Gintare), Peter (Richard), and Vincent J. Litwinowicz. Son of the late John and Helen Konopelko Litwinowicz.
Brother of John Litwinowicz (Mary Jane) and the late Jane (Art) and Walter Litwinowicz (Henrietta). Grandfather of Jenny (Drew), John, Katie, Ruth (Devin), Kaz, Hanna, Jake, Evelina, Paulius, and Kipris. Great grandfather of Alex. After growing up in Cleveland, Ohio, Vince graduated from Michigan Tech and worked as a geophysicist for Chevron for over 30 years, living and working in Wyoming, Denver, Colombia, Bolivia, and Trinidad and Tobago before planting roots in New Orleans. He was honored for his important work by having an oil platform named after him, the Vince Prospect. Family was most important to Vince, and his passions included reading, keeping up with current news and events, working crossword puzzles and maintaining and growing his stamp collection. He also enjoyed fishing, museums and photography as a younger man. Later in life, he really looked forward to his evening glass of wine while watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. All he ever asked of others was to do their best. He instilled discipline in his children while giving them the freedom to choose their direction in life.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 6 PM. Visitation will be Monday evening from 4:30 PM until 6 PM.
