Violet Plessala Braun entered into eternal life on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the age of 88. Beloved and devoted wife of the late Henry Andrew “Brown” Braun. Mother of Shelia Braun Booksh (Sidney) and Cynthia “Cindy” Braun. Grandmother “Lucy” of Karl Booksh (Tamara “Tammy” Olsen), Peter Booksh, Shannon B. Sanchez (Robert Jr.) and Durel Boudlauch Jr. (Ashley). Great Grandmother of Cody and Skyler Booksh, Megan, Madison, and Riley Sanchez, Gavin and Avery Boudlauch. Daughter of the late Reuben F. Plessala, Sr. and Emily Pizani Plessala. Sister of Reuben Plessala Jr. and the late Christine “Teenie” Haley (Arthur), Lois P. Castillo (Willie) and Donald Plessala. Aunt of Lorraine R. Lewis and Ralph Rojas. Sister-in-law of Joan Braun Frichter (Arnold). Violet was born in Lafitte, LA and was a resident of Gretna, LA. She was a member of Terrytown Golden Agers and American Legion Auxiliary Post 64 of Gretna. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the Staff of Wynhoven Health Care Center and Notre Dame Hospice for their love and care. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, September 3, 2012 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday from 7:30AM until 9AM. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday at 9AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
