Virginia Radosta DeFelice

September 23, 1925 — December 16, 2011

On December 16, 2011 Virginia Radosta DeFelice passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 86.She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years. Savare J. DeFelice, Sr. and her 4 children Savare J. Jr. (Arleen), Esteff (Cathy), Mark and Ginny DeFelice. She is also survived by 8 loving grandchildren. Dr. Tre DeFelice (Kelly), David, Esteff, Jr., Thomas, Elizabeth, Dana, Rachel and Marci. Great grandmother to Brooks Savare DeFelice. She was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Frances DeFelice and her parents Pascal and Frances Radosta. She is survived by one brother Martin Radosta, and preceded in death by her brother Pascal Radosta, Jr. and her sister Frances Radosta DeFelice. Virginia was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Belle Chasse, LA. She was very involved with the church community playing the organ and hosting the rosary in her home. She was a recipient of the Order of St. Louis Medallion Award. Virginia was an alumni of St. Mary’s Dominican High School and Loyola School of music. Virginia grew up in New Orleans and had been a resident of Belle Chasse for 47 years. She was an avid Saint's Football fan. She was an owner of Pascal’s Manale Restaurant where she worked most of her life, retiring after Hurricane Katrina. She was cared for in her home until her death, by her husband and two caregivers. The family would like to thank Arlene Stansberry and Peggy Wilson for their devoted care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Belle Chasse, LA or a charity of your choice in Virginia DeFelice's memory. Relatives and Friends of the Family, also the staff of Pascal’s Manale are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Sunday, December 18, 2011 from 5PM until 8 PM, and will resume at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 8968 Hwy 23, Belle Chasse, on Monday morning from 9AMto 11 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow. Interment will take place in Cypress Grove Cemetery, New Orleans, LA. For further funeral information or directions, please call Mothe Funeral Home at 504.366.4343.
