Vivian Ann Hanson Albarado

Vivian Ann Hanson Albarado age 84, of Belle Chasse, LA, passed away peacefully on Monday April 21, 2025. She was born on September 13, 1940 in New Orleans, LA, to George Ewell Hanson and Sarah Collins Hanson.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Albarado Lasseigne of Lafayette, LA, Brenda Albarado Vogt (Tony) of Slidell, LA, and Paul Clifford Albarado, Jr. of New Orleans, LA. She was the beloved "Grammy" of Rodney Joseph Lasseigne Jr., and Anna Claire Vogt. She is also survived by her brother, George Ewell Hanson, Jr. (Martha), her sister, Ellen Hanson Kimble, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Vivian will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, George and Sarah Hanson, and her grandson, Spencer Lloyd Vogt.

Vivian spent her childhood and most of her early adulthood in Port Sulphur, LA, where she enjoyed raising her children, playing bridge, and volunteering. She was an active member of the St. Patrick Altar Society and also played the organ and sang in the choir at the St. Patrick Catholic Church. She later moved to Belle Chasse LA where she was a parishioner of the St. Cletus Catholic Church in Gretna LA and was a long-time employee of the Plaquemines Parish School Board. In her retirement years, she enjoyed reading, playing cards, watching Hallmark movies, and drinking a good glass of wine. She was an avid sports fan of LSU sports, the New Orleans Saints, and especially the New Orleans Pelicans.

Her funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 29th at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA. Visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 1:30 pm, and the funeral service will begin at 1:30 pm. Interment to immediately follow at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1225 Whitney Ave, Gretna, LA.
