Walter H. Williamson

Walter H. Williamson passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Ella Mae Williamson for 60 years. Father of Teresa Strickland and Belinda Manos (Peter). Son of the late Emily Hunt Williamson and Rufus Williamson. Brother of Barbara Ann McCain, the late R.A. Williamson and Mary Sue Scarborough. Grandfather of Steven Strickland, Stephanie Strickland, Samuel Manos, Noleta Khan, and Bryan Manos. Great grandfather of Adeela Khan and Marling Strickland. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

He was a native of Kokomo, MS and a resident of Belle Chasse, LA.  Walter served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves and later retired as a teacher from the Plaquemines Parish School System, teaching at several schools, spending most of his time teaching Science at Buras Middle School.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at First Baptist Church of Belle Chasse, 8828 Hwy 23, Belle Chasse, LA on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 11am. Visitation will be held at the church from 9am until 11am. Interment will follow on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 1pm at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, 91 Shiloh Firetower Rd, Foxworth, MS 39483.
