Wanda Weathers Thomassie entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 14, 2012 at the age of 63. Beloved wife of 43 years to Lloyd Thomassie. Daughter of Lois Boudreaux Weathers and the late Emile Weathers. Mother of Tara Thomassie Voss (Husband Robert) and the late Troy Anthony Thomassie. Grandmother of Emily and Lauren Voss, Kevin, Carson and Nicholas Thomassie. Sister of Emile “Willie” Weathers (Wife Karrel) and Half Sister of Ronnie and Gayle Weathers. Devoted cousin of Carolyn Sciretta and Avonelle Shannon. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A native of Gretna, LA, lived in Harvey for over 30 years and presently a resident of Terrytown, LA for 3 years. She was a parishioner of St. John Bosco Catholic Church. Former employee of the City of Gretna and Jefferson Parish School Board. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 from 9AM until 1PM. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday at 1PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
