Warren O. Hotard, Jr.

Warren O. Hotard, Jr. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at the age of 85. He was a lifelong resident of Gretna, LA. Beloved husband of 61 years to Kathryn Wright Hotard. Devoted father of Warren O. Hotard III (Patricia) of Gretna, LA, Paul H. Hotard (Melanie “Sam”) of Houma, LA and Edward W. Hotard (Vida) of Gretna, LA. A much loved grandfather to Kate, Reed (Jane Allen) and Colin Hotard, Stephanie Hotard, Natalie H. Lapeyrouse (Lance), Jeffrey and Carol Lee Hotard. Great Grandfather of Jane A. Lapeyrouse. Also survived by his sister, Maria “Betty” Peer. Warren is preceded in death by his parents, Warren O. Hotard, Sr. and Marjorie H. Hotard. He was a longtime employee of United Fruit Company and United Brands, Inc. He is a retired member of ILA Local 1497 New Orleans Clerks and Checkers. He was loved by many and his influence was immeasurable. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from 9AM until 1:30PM. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday at 1:30PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
