Warren A. "Boo" Richoux, Jr.

Warren “Boo” Richoux, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the age of 71. Beloved and loving husband of 50 years to Faye Keller Richoux. Son of the late Jane Bourg Richoux and Warren A. Richoux, Sr. Father of Kim Richoux O’Quain (Husband Joseph) and Elizabeth Richoux Fradella. Grandfather of Brandon Fradella (Stephanie Mixon), Zachary Fradella (Ciera Gray), Samantha O’Quain, Taylor Fradella, Jacob Fradella and Sabrina O’Quain. Great grandfather of Kylee Fradella and Kamryn Fradella. Brother of the late Judy Richoux Cain. Brother-in-law of Gail and Roland Bourgeois and the late Jackie and Richard Moore and Oscar W. Keller, Jr. Godfather of Penny Mazerac and Sarah Keller. “Boo” is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He worked at Avondale Shipyards until his retirement. “Boo” was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Whenever there was a family gathering it was always Paw Paw “Boo” who made the gumbo, did the Bar-B-Que and boiled the crawfish. As a young man, he was involved in sports of all kinds but remained an avid fan throughout his life. He loved hunting, fishing and belonged to various hunting clubs over the years. He was a member of the “Crowns Social Club” for most of his life. He has lifelong friends because of the club. The members, both new and old and their families became an extension of his family. He was a heart transplant recipient. He was recipient #398 performed at Ochsner Medical Center. We feel so lucky to have had “Boo” in our lives for 15 extra years because of that. He was able to see four more of his grandchildren and two great grandchildren born. He was also able to celebrate 50 years of marriage on August 12, 2011. He had a very active and fulfilling extended life and for that he will be greatly and sadly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 from 10AM until 1PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel on Wednesday at 1PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred. Family and friends may view and sign the online guestbook at www.mothefunerals.com .
