Wayman D. Bridges

Wayman D. Bridges, a hardworking, dedicated family man and provider for his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of 47 years to Sandra Bridges. Son of the late Gus Hellman and Laura Lotspeich Hellman. Father of Eddie, Gus, Troy, Sam, Cherie, David and the late Penny. Survived by 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his brother, Robert and his sister, Janet Kay. Wayman was born in Robstown, Texas and resided in Gretna, LA. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force while serving his country. He loved working, fishing and his favorite hobby was automobiles. A visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 from 9:30AM until 11AM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
