Wayne Raymond Mundy – Born June 23, 1942 and on June 25, 2015 was delivered by Jesus from his unhealthy earthly body into the arms of God. He is survived by his wife, Karylyn Pitre Mundy; son, J. W. “Jack” Mundy II (Anne); daughter, Wanina Rae “Nina” Debelo (Francis, Jr.); granddaughters, Samantha and Kathryn Mundy, Karilyn and Adrianna Debelo; grandson, J. W. “Lil Jack” Mundy III; sister Betty Rickman. Wayne is also survived by his brother-in-law, Paul Pitre, Sr (Joan), sister-in-law, Michele Pitre; godfather of nephews, David Rickman and Nicholas Pitre (Amanda); nephews Scott Rickman (Jenyse) and Paul Pitre, Jr.; including numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by father, J. W. “Jack” Mundy; mother, Beatrice De Kerlegand Mundy; sister, Baby Mundy; brother, Bruce Mundy; brothers-in-law, Henry Pitre, Jr; Ronald Rickman; sister-in-law, Patricia Mundy Shearer. Wayne was a resident of Gretna LA and Belle Chasse LA. He was Vice-President of Wallace C. Drennan, Inc. until he founded Twin M. Leasing, Inc. d/b/a Wayne Mundy Welding Manufacturing to contract with Blaine Kern Artists, Inc. designing and fabricating the steel sub-structures for the Mardi Gras super floats and armatures for animated figures. Other pieces of his work went to Disney World, Universal Studios, Tunica MS& Las Vegas NV, Philadelphia PA, and Turner Field Atlanta GA. Special thanks to the staff of The Forum at Memorial Woods in Houston, TX who cared for Wayne with the utmost professionalism, tenderness and compassion. Services will be held on July 11, 2015 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Belle Chasse, LA with visitation from 9:30AM till 1:30PM with Words of Remembrance to begin at 1:30PM and Mass to follow at 2:00PM with interment at Westlawn Cemetery.
