Wayne “Lapin” Richoux passed away peacefully on the morning of April 14, 2013 at the age of 71. He served in the U.S. Army and in the Vietnam War. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Westwego Post 6793. He worked at Avondale Container and Avondale Shipyard. Beloved husband of Lana Busiere Richoux. Loving and devoted father of Mequa Pounds (Terry) and Shallen Richoux. Brother of Elaine Plaisance (deceased Carol). Poppa of Taylor Richoux, Pa-Te of Luke "Lukie" and Logan "LoLo" Pounds, and Dorrian. Parrain of Alisa Bujol (Warren) and great uncle of Ryan Bujol. Son of deceased parents Voorhies “Jack” and Mabel Richoux. Brother-in-law of Alma “Zu” Bucher, Myra B. Richards, Roy “Butch” Busiere, and deceased Norma “Teta, Red” Reed.
