Willadean Fortner Rogers

Willadean Fortner Rogers passed away on January 2, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was 84 years of age. Beloved mother of Tina Ledet (Edward), Jody Rogers (Justine) and the late Michael Rogers (the late Janet). Grandmother of Michael, Billy, Kristin, Amber, Michael, Matthew, Blake and the late Ralph. Survived by several great-grandchildren. Sister of the late Kathleen Griggs, Jack, Hubert and Clyde Fortner. Daughter of the late George and Effie Hodge Fortner.
Willadean retired from BellSouth after 25 years of faithful service and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She was a talented doll maker who specialized in hand-crafted porcelain dolls. A devoted and loving mother, grandmother and friend, she will be sadly missed. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Wynhoven Health Care Center and to her loving daughter-in-law Justine for their care and compassion during this time.
