William “Billy” Douglas Gianelloni passed away on June 28, 2021 at the age of 64. Beloved husband of 40 years to Catherine “Cathy” Brown Gianelloni. Father of William Douglas Gianelloni II (his wife, Hanna Babin) and Brandon Paul Gianelloni (his fiancé, Victoria Bright). Grandfather of Aubrey Gianelloni, Carson Gianelloni, Rosalie Gianelloni, Marley Bright and Lenox Bright. Brother of Marcelle “Penny” Cecilia Gianelloni and the late Arthur Louis LeFebvre. Son of the late Arthur Louis Gianelloni and the late Lois Burke. Also survived by 17 nieces and nephews along with 17 great-nieces and great-nephews; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Billy was born in Havana, Cuba, was raised in Covington, LA and resided in Harvey, LA. He graduated from St. Paul High School in Covington, Class of 1975 and later graduated in 1981 from Southeastern LA University with a BA in Marketing. Billy was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Knights of Columbus Council No. 6357 in Belle Chasse. He was an avid sports fan of University of Michigan Wolverines and Kansas City Chiefs. He also enjoyed horse racing, playing golf and traveling (especially cruises). Billy was talented in the kitchen and loved preparing and sharing meals with family and friends. He will be sadly missed.
A celebration of Billy’s life will be held at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 2114 Oakmere Drive, Harvey, LA with a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 10am to 11am, followed by a Memorial Mass.
