William John Clapp

William John Clapp, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Donna Bergeron Clapp. Son of the late Jourdan M. Clapp, Sr. and Ethel Dupont Clapp. Father of William J. Clapp, Jr., Brian J. Clapp and Wendy C. Spindler. Brother of Ronald J. Clapp, Sr., Robert J. Clapp, Allan L. Clapp, Janet O. Osteen and the late Jourdan M. Clapp, Jr. and Thomas E. Clapp. Grandfather of Jordan Clapp, Gabrielle Spindler, Noah Clapp, Alexa Spindler, Emily Clapp and Katie Hobden. Born in New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Mr. William is retired from the United States Air Force as a Personnel Superintendent after serving 34 years. He was a member of the American Legion VFW Post 6640 and Disabled Vets Association of Westwego. He was also a longtime member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 1:30 PM.
