William Ray Cooke

William Ray Cooke entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of the late Alice Anne English Cooke. Son of the late William Lee Cooke and Elizabeth Chandler Cooke. Father of Michael, Patrick, Robert Cooke and the late Steven Cooke and Ann Marie Cooke. Brother of Rebecca Bridges and the late Dawson Cooke and Jacqueline Matthews. William is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was born in Haughton, LA and was a resident of Marrero, LA. He served in the United States Navy during the American’s Korean Conflict where he met his wife, Alice whom also served in the United States Navy. William was a retired teacher with Jefferson Parish School System. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 4401 7th Street, Marrero, LA on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from 9AM until 11:30AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Wednesday at 11:30AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. MOTHE FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
