William "Billy" Jordan Cribbs

William “Billy” Jordan Cribbs entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the age of 73. Former husband of Rebecca Gilmore Cribbs. Son of the late George W. Cribbs and Virginia Iles Cribbs. Loving and devoted father of Gwendolyn Rich (Wesley), Susan Poole (Wayne), William “T-Boy” Cribbs, Jane “Cie-Cie” Doucet (Lance) and Jennifer Cribbs. Grandfather of Leslie Wilson(John), Leighanne Black, Kasey Poole (David), Britney and Devon Rich, Patrick “Zack” H.Z. Barthel, James R. Nichols Jr., Macy and Jordan Cribbs, Bethany and Bryce Doucet, Angel Poole, and Harmony Maise. Great-Grandfather of Trevor Black, Evan Biggs, David “Ty” J. Poole III, Alexis Poole, Serena Williams, Hayden Williams, and Aliyah Poole. Brother of Patrick, Michael, Darlene, Richard, Jerry and the late Shirley, Eleanor, Dorothy and Juanita. Billy is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. He was born in Washington, DC and resided in Bridge City, LA. He was a Merchant Marine who traveled the world for over 40 years before retiring, and a member of the Seafarers International Union for over 50 years. A Visitation will take place at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 6PM until 9PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Monday, June 10, 2013 from 9AM until 1PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 1PM.
