William Madison "Bill" Fulmer

William Madison “Bill” Fulmer, 71, of Gretna, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014, surrounded by his family. Bill was born on April 14, 1942, in Port Sulphur, Louisiana to John Adam and Bonabelle (Flaut) Fulmer, Jr. He married the love of his life, Martha Jane Fehlis, on December 22, 1963 at the Trinity Methodist Church in Buras, Louisiana. Bill was a Technical Specialist for Baker-Hughes for over 30 years before retirement. Bill is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Martha Fulmer; his daughter, Mary Holt and her husband Bill; his son, Sean Fulmer and his wife, Dawn; his son, Derek Fulmer and his wife, Lisa; his grandchildren, Michael Holt and his wife Liana; Jason Holt; Megan Fulmer, Bennett Fulmer and Winston Fulmer; and his great grandson, Jesse Lane Holt. Bill was preceded by his daughters, Helen and Shannon Fulmer; his parents; his brothers, Robert Lee Fulmer, John Adam Fulmer III and James Richard Fulmer. The family wants to express their gratitude to everyone for their condolences and the outpouring of love and support. A private memorial was held and the family respectfully asks some time and space to grieve for the loss of their loved one in private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made in Bill’s name to the Charity of the donor’s choice. MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA in charge of arrangements.
