William Andrew “Billy” Oubre, Sr. on Wednesday, September 11, 2013. Beloved companion of Pam Boutrie. Loving father of Julie Oubre, Danielle Oubre and William A. Oubre, Jr. Former husband of Judy Oubre. Grandfather of Micaela, Justin, Samuel, and Gabriel. Brother of Sherry O. Castille (Dennis), Denise O. Thorning and the late Leroy J. Oubre, Jr. Son of the late Audrey Mae St. Germaine Oubre and Leroy J. Oubre, Sr. Age, 62 years. A native of Algiers, LA and a resident of Slidell, LA. Mr. Oubre was a talented musician, former member of the band KingsRoe, and an inductee of the Louisiana Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He also was a member of the New Orleans Musicians Alumni Association.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 1 PM. Interment will be private. Parlors will be open Saturday from 10 AM until 1 PM.
