William Adolphus Reese

April 27, 1923 — March 6, 2013

William A. “Skeet” Reese, known to many as simply “the lawnmower man,” put away his tools and closed up shop for the last time on Wednesday, March 6, 2012. Beloved husband of the late Constance McCants Reese. Father of Ronnie A. Reese (Judith) and Peggy R. Eby (James). Grandfather of James, John and Skeet Reese, Jamie Fortenberry, Kirk and Chad Eby. Survived by 12 great-granchildren. Brother of Melvin “Junior” Reese, the late Bertha Jackson, Roy and WT Reese. Son of the late Cora Lee Sheppard Reese and Thurston Adolphus Reese. He served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He later retired as an executive with George Engine Co.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Friday, March 8, 2013 from 6 PM until 10 PM. Services will continue graveside at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Whitney Ave., Gretna, LA on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 10 AM. “Listen always, laugh often, love whole-heartedly, and live completely.”
