William Daniel Rosenthal

1952-2024

William “Dan” Rosenthal entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 5^th, 2024 at the age of 71. He lived in Gretna, LA with his beloved wife of 40 years, Nancy Rosenthal. Dan was the father of three sons Douglas, Brian, and Steven Rosenthal and father-in-law to Libby Rosenthal. He is preceded in death by his parents Iris Hoffstetter and Sidney Rosenthal. Dan was a graduate of Louisiana State University’s Nursing Program and worked as a Registered Nurse for 32 years. As an avid and passionate educator, Dan created and operated his own medical education company Workplace Nurses LLC. Dan served on the Gretna Historical District Committee since 1989 until his retirement in 2022, working to preserve the unique nature of the city of Gretna. In his spare time, Dan loved to collect and assemble model railroad cars and scenery. He enjoyed visiting model railroad shops in London, Paris, and Scotland and brought his love of trains on every family trip. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation and Catholic funeral service on Monday, February 12^th at Mothe Funeral Home in Harvey, LA. Visitation hours are 9am – 11am with funeral services to follow.
