William "Bill" Bryan Stallings of Terrytown, LA passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017 after a brief illness with cancer. Beloved husband of Angelia "Angie" Hendrix Stallings. Bill was born in Vicksburg, MS and a resident of Terrytown for over 40 years. He was the father of Nataleigh Stallings Markey (Jason), Shaun Bryan Stallings (Veronica) of Kiln, MS, Justin Edward Stallings (Jessica), and Jeremy Thomas Stallings. He is the son of Dorothy "DeDe" Stallings of Baton Rouge, LA and the late William Thomas Stallings. Brother of Connie Stallings Fournet (Glen) of Prairieville, LA and the late Thomas "Tommy" Ray Stallings (Tricia) of New Orleans. He is survived by 10 Grandchildren, Colin and Ainsley Markey; Lana, Jena and Aydin Stallings; Kody, Haley and Bryce Stallings and Austin and Keleigh Stallings. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Bill was the Godfather of Jennifer Stallings of New Orleans and Rebecca Heyman Kuleba of Myerstown, PA. He was also survived by step-children Lindy, Bryan, and Kyle Little of Houston, TX. Bill was a lifelong friend of Danny Blackwell of Hattiesburg, MS. Bill was a 1973 Graduate of O. Perry Walker High School. He was a member of the IBEW Electrical Workers Union 130, and past active member of Boy Scout Troop 378 for several years. Mr. Stallings was a member of the Theodore Roosevelt Lodge 415, where he was Past Master, Farhad Grotto, Shriners and The Scottish Rite Consistory. Bill was employed by Tenneco Oil, Mobil Oil Company, ExxonMobil and PBF Energy, Chalmette Refining, LLC.
Bill enjoyed many activities. He had a passion for reading, especially history related materials. He loved the outdoors and spent many of his weekends attending camping trips with his 3 sons. Bill’s happiest times were spent riding his beloved Harley Davidson.
His family would like to thank the wonderful nurses from Heart of Hospice, especially Phillip, Ashley, Lisa, Christy, Hilda, and Evie. Also, the loving nurses and staff from MD Anderson Cancer Treatment Center.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 1:30 PM.
