William J. Stewart

William J. Stewart, Sr. passed away on February 14, 2012 at the age of 69 years. Beloved husband of the late Claudette Cossich Stewart. Father of William J. Stewart, Jr. (wife, Tessie Bergeron Stewart) and Stacey Stewart Kamm (husband, Bryan D. Kamm). Grandfather of Blair Smith Videtich, Elizabeth Marie Kamm, Zachary David Kamm and Sabrina Marie Peterson. Great-grandfather of Abigail Elizabeth Videtich, Austin Matthew Videtich and Isabelle Brianna Baker. Brother of James “Dickie” Stewart (wife, Dorothy Stewart), the late Fred T. Stewart (wife, the late Doris Stewart), Margaret Stewart Pelas (husband, the late Calvin Pelas) and Barbara Stewart Dixon (husband, the late Marshall Dixon, Sr.). Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. He was a lifelong resident of Empire, LA, and was retired from the Louisiana D.O.T.D. as a Navigational Lock Operator at the Empire Locks. Relatives, friends and employees of Freeport Sulphur and Louisiana D.O.T.D. are invited to attend the visitation at Trinity Methodist Church in Buras, LA on Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 9 AM to 11 AM followed by a prayer service.
