William O. Toombs

William O. Toombs passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025 at the age of 84 years. He is a native of Yazoo City, MS and resided in Avondale, LA.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Brenda F. Toombs; his parents, Virgil Toombs and Cordie Toombs; his sisters, Ella Mae Boyd, Eunice Ray, Stella Roberson, Kate Ellington, Polly Miller, and brother, Cecil Toombs.

William is survived by his children, Edward Toombs (Vicky), Larry Toombs, Paula Waguespack (Paul), Dawn Fabre (Adam), Brian Toombs (Nicole); grandchildren, Mika Nolen, Lee Toombs, Paige Alcala, Kayla Ranatza-Doyle, Kelsey Miller, Breanna Fabre, and Billy Toombs, 13 great-grandchildren, and his sister, Dorothy Richards. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

William spent much of his career as an automobile body technician. He enjoyed spending time with his family and he will be sadly missed.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Boulevard, Marrero, LA on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 9 AM to 11 AM. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel. Interment Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in Westwego.
