William Ernest Wells

William Ernest Wells passed away on January 26, 2013 at the age of 79. Husband of Joyce Eskine Wells. He was born on October 24, 1933 in Springfield, ILL to the late Elsie Day Wells and Ferdinand Wells. Father of William P. Wells of Port Arthur, TX, Irma Dee Wells of Orange, TX and Joy Nichol of Belle Chasse, LA. Father of the late Pamela Howell, Elizabeth Evens and Robert Wells of Port Arthur, TX. Brother of the late Betty Stephens of Springfield, ILL. Half Brother of Shirley Brooks of Springfield, ILL and John Kessler of Auburn, ILL. Step Father of Deborah Gravette, Denise Savoy, Joseph Matherne and Amy Bergeron. Also survived by grandchildren, Jason Bergeron, Tyler Nichol and Lucretia Ratley, step grandchildren, nieces and nephews. William served in the Korean War in the United States Navy and in the United States Air force before he was medically discharged. Special thanks to the staff of Riverbend Nursing Home, the Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants of Riverbend who took care of William every day. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 6PM until 9PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 8AM until 10:30AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Highway 23, Belle Chasse, LA on Thursday at 11AM.
