Woodrow "Woody" Wilson

Woodrow “Woody” Wilson passed away on March 18, 2015 at the age of 76. He was a native of Algiers and a resident of Belle Chasse for the last 18 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Governor Woodrow Wilson and Anita Wattigney Wilson and his granddaughter, Jennifer Perkins Hamburger. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Beverly Lands Wilson; brother to Francis Wilson, JoAnn Wilson and Gerald Lands; his children, Robin Wilson (Donald), Karen W. Norris (Joe), Janet W. Tredinich (Mike), John Wilson (Annette) and Michael Wilson; his grandchildren, Christine and Ryan Tredinich, Ashley Kopaniasz, Kirk Jr. and Kyle Layrisson, John Jr., Lauren, Corey and Zack Wilson as well as 9 great grandchildren. Woody graduated from Holy Name of Mary High School in Algiers and attended Louisiana State University. He retired from Brockway Corporation (Standard Container) after 23 years. He also worked at American Can Company for 17 years. Woody was a parishioner at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Belle Chasse. His infectious smile, loving spirit and sense of humor will be greatly missed. A visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 8:30AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11AM. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
