Zella Hanks Nannby

Zella Hanks Nannby passed away on October 15, 2016 at the age of 75 years. Beloved mother of Michelle Nannby Frank (husband Ronald Frank II). Grandmother of Alexis Frank Bowen (her husband Ryan Bowen), Ronald Frank III and Allen Francis. Great-grandmother of Eve Marie Frank and Reece Rowdy Bowen. Loving and devoted sister of Charlotte Hanks Gregoire. Aunt of James Gregoire Jr. (his wife Denise Gregoire) and Michael A. Gregoire. Great-aunt of Taylor Edmonds, James Gregoire III (his wife Kailey Gregoire), Timothy Guillot (his wife Sarah Guillot), Daniel Gregoire, Rebecca “Becca” Berkesch and the late Elizabeth Gregoire Skaggs. Great-great-aunt of Roman James Gregoire, Rylan Gregoire, Caleb Guillot, Amelia Guillot, and Gabriel Skaggs. Daughter of the late Johnetta Umbach Hanks and Maurice Hanks. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends. Zella worked for many years at West Jefferson Medical Center as a lab technician and data entry clerk. During her life, she touched the lives of so many people and she will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 10 AM to 1 PM. A Funeral Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place at Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna at a later date.
